Her visit comes four months after her husband, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, had made a virtual speech in Congress, calling for more military equipment.
Zelenska met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and is expected to meet with her American counterpart, Jill Biden on Tuesday, the White House said.
She is expected to address Congress on Wednesday.
Tuesday's meeting will be the second among the state ladies, as Mrs. Biden paid an unprecedented visit to Ukraine in May.
Zelenska has no official portfolio in the Ukrainian government.
