Von Croamon optimistic: I hope that by the end of the year visas are liberalised

The vote on the resolution two days ago in the European Parliament, calling for mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia, rapporteur for Kosovo Violet von Cremon, values it very positively because it is the first time to insist on the issue, though it is not in relation to Kosovo. “We are proud to have made a [...]
“We are proud to have made such an act, and this is a signal that I would quote our Chancellor that “is clearly not compromise, but the result, a hit”, said Von Cromon.
On the other hand, she stressed that she hopes a solution will be reached, so that this is earlier, for EU integration to be achieved after that dialogue.
In the question of how Vuciqi's statements would predict the continuation of the process, if Vuciqi does not take into account this resolution, the protestor for Kosovo in the European Parliament stressed that Vuciqi's statements do not surprise him, because his intervention is for his country to integrate into the EU and, in the end, we hope it will be more attractive, to see a conviction that Serbia and Kosovo can achieve that outcome.
Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue
Regarding the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, EP rapporteur Violet von Cremon, said we had agreements that have been reached, as it did for the unemployed, energy, etc.
This is a big achievement. We would like to see more and have to find compromise, and for that, I am optimistic that we will achieve results in the following months, as Lajcak asks, during his mandate to achieve completion of the” dialogue, said Von Croamon.
Visa liberalisation
As for visa liberalisation, Violet von Cremon said most European countries support Kosovo on this issue.
She later mentioned the French and Dutch, who she is exercising” to convince them to support Kosovo in this respect, though, as she said, they only want additional facts, not obstacles.
Besides that, Violet von Croamon also spoke of EU integrations, under which we should be attentive in the steps to be taken because there are 5 non-recognitional states that could cause obstacles.
“I hope that by the end of the year visas” will be removed, EP rapporteur Violet von Cremon added in the interview given at RTK.
She also talked about regional initiatives, more specifically for the “Open Balkans”, which said the most comprehensive is the “Berlin Process”.
In addition to these issues, Von Croamon also spoke of the war in Ukraine, under which a desperate situation there is being fought for the protection of European values.
The” is unfortunate that the issues were not brought forward for the Western Balkans”, she stressed.
In the end, she also spoke of the failure of addresses of the Albanian population in the Presevo Valley, which stressed that it will be seen further about why it is doing so only to Albanians there -- that there be no discrimination against Albanians.
We will look further at why this is happening only to Albanians there, so we will be concerned that there is no discrimination against Albanians there”, EP rapporteur Violet von Cremon said at the end of the interview.
