The first group of 10,000 Ukrainian military recruits expected to be trained in the United Kingdom in the coming months have arrived in Britain and have begun training, the Defence Ministry said.
Defence officials on July 9th said the British service of 1050 people will train Ukrainian inexperienced volunteers at several locations throughout Britain for several weeks.
Defence Minister Ben Wallace met with recruits early this week, telling them that the “ky new ambitious training programme is the next phase in supporting Great Britain for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in their fight against Russian aggression”.
The British ministry said Ukrainians would undergo the basic training programme of British soldiers, including weapons treatment, first aid in the field of battle, artifacts on the ground, patrol tactics and laws about armed conflict. / REL
