Traffic accidents, 50 dead in Kosovo within six months

Accidents in road communications continue to cause large numbers of Kosovo deaths. In the first six months of this year, according to Kosovo Police data, 50 people have died in road accidents. Only for six months throughout Kosovo have 44 fatal accidents occurred, of which 50 [...] died.
In just six months across Kosovo, 44 fatal accidents have occurred, of which 50 people died.
Official Kosovo Police statistics are frightening as regards accidents.
In the first six months of this year, in communications alone, more than 3,000 and 500 people have been injured.
However, in all this chaos, Kosovo police have not planned any campaign.
The ongoing police appeal remains for communications participants to be cautious with speed.
But for connoisseur, this isn't enough.
“Self-aware areas start in March, and we haven't yet seen a conscious campaign for not exceeding speed, not using telephone, alcohol. We are not even prepared for campaigns, we must not forget that police are operational, not for politics and campaigns,” said communications professor Nol Deda.
According to Deda, the second six months of the year is even more dangerous for accidents.
The next six months will be the largest number of accidents, especially the July and August summer season. I don't see any changes of 2017/2018, but the situation is worse and more fatal,” added Deda.
Kosovo police have compiled an operational police plan, which they have even distributed for application throughout all departments and police areas.
