Tyrone Prades, 46, bought the sandwich in December 2017 during a visit to the Birmingham Christmas market with his wife and children.
His lawyers told the Supreme Court that he suffered stomach pain, fever, vomiting and diarrhea within hours eating it.
He claims to have been lying in bed for five weeks with salmonella.
Lawyers added that Prades has had regular and uncontrollable swelling since then, embarrassing him in public and waking him up at night, broadcasts Klankosova.tv.
His lawyer, Robert Parkin, told the court that Prade's stomach continued to sound difficult after the disease calmed down.
Parkin said: “Symptoms are, mainly, fatigue and the altered function of the intestines associated with the therein of the belly and the breath. The plaintiff's belly continues to issue frequent shocking noises to the extent that its sleep can be ruined”.
