Russian citizens from today will seek visas to enter Ukraine after Kiev lifted a visa-free regime a decade ago that facilitated travel beyond borders for citizens of both countries.
The decision to end the visa-free regime was announced by Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, following a petition by a Ukrainian citizen.
Zelensky said that in the context of Russia's invasion, he supported the deployment of stricter controls for the entry of its citizens.
