Miftary for Kurt's Bureau: Forget it, wealth cannot be confiscated like it's being taxed.

Ehat Miftaraj from the Kosovo Institute for Justice, on this issue, said the government should find long-term solutions, rather than ad hoc “for political points”.

Miftaraj said it must be forgotten that property would be confiscated as “as it is being collected”.

The government's high-powered success has come with the opinion that's coming for vetoation, it's vetoing part, it's not vetoing as the government has predicted, but it's the best way to improve the justice system, with the veto of members of the KDR, KKP, chief prosecutor and court leaders at the KKP. Opinionist Jusuf Thaci has also spoken of the State Bureau for Verification and Confiscating Unjustified Riches. He has said this institution must be established, but by respecting the Venice Commission's remarks.

Thaci has said the Government of Kosovo should accept that this institution is political. According to him, this should not be a problem.

This is an instrument first of all political, because if it wasn't political, the State Prosecutor would have to carry out. Absolutely, such a law must be made”, he said in the show.

Thaci has criticised lawmakers, saying they are only a few enthusiasts who do not understand much in this area.

This law is designed by the love of enthusiastic people who have nothing to do with drafting laws. Good thing this law went to Venice Commission. The Commission's main concerns are stable, 1: the possibility for politicisation and 2: Fear of arbitrariity by such an institution”, he has said.

However, he has said, all these are addressed, but the existing draft has to be rewritten from the beginning.

Thaci has also seen the great power of the director of this agency as a concern. He said there should be a middle body between him and addressing other institutions.
