Media acquaintances for MP Pacolli's statement: Dangerous, threat to democracy in Kosovo

Vetevendosje MP Victory Pacolli, today with a scandalous statement during the hearing, has called on the Government and Parliament to take measures against the media in Kosovo. These calls by the VV deputy are considered dangerous for freedom and democracy in the country, writes Periscopi. University professor at the Department of Journalism Milazim Krasniqi in [...]
University professor at the Journalial Department Milazim Krasniqi in a proposal for Periscope said Victory Pacolli's position is dangerous for media freedom, adding that Kurti Government is trying to capture the media. According to the professor, this is a dangerous attitude for freedom and democracy in our country.
The “is a continuation of media jam policies, already implemented in the public broadcaster”, He said.
In addition, Krasniqi says, the LV/government is known for intolerance and violence against institutions and all those who do not think totalitarianly.
So they're going to try to go from words to actions to suppress media. Sure it's not going to work, but they're doing damage to medicine as a business and journalism as a profession. These pressures are damaging public information, but in the last instance, they're mostly going to hurt themselves”, Professor Milazim Krasniqi concluded.
To the Victory Pacolli Declaration, the Association of Kosovo Journalists (AGK) and the Council of Written Media of Kosovo (KMSHK), which they say is a serious threat to the media from the Kurti Government,
The “Medias, most of which are registered as businesses in the ARBK, while another part as NGOs regulates their activity through relevant laws in Kosovo and regulations of the Independent Media Commission and the Kosovo Media Council of Written Press Council Press Council of Kosovo. Any government attempt to control the media is unacceptable attempts to interfere with their work. This is a serious threat to current power against the media”, it says, in the reaction of these two organisations.
While on the other side of the media lawyer, Butterie Kusari says Pacolli's statements and Vetevendosje against the media are continuing and aiming for journalists to be seen as an enemy.
This statement points out that Ms. Pacolli lacks basic knowledge about media regulation, because the media in Kosovo are regulated by the Independent Commission for Media and the Kosovo Media Council. But it needs to improve transparency in the media but it's not up to the government to deal with this matter”.
This statement is an attempt to intervene in the attempted media and, worse, is a continuing attempt by Mr. Pacolli and others to create a negative media lull, so journalists can be seen as enemy”, Kusari told Clen Kosovo.
Reactions to Pacolli's statements have also been made by media leaders in Kosovo.
Journalist Ilir Mirena, says today's Victory Pacolli speech in the Assembly was not her personal speech, but was the party's speech Vetevendosje.
Mirena says that by attacking the media and looking for the guilty, she says nothing about the media, about the government crisis.
There's no Victory Pacolli talking, Kurt's regime speaking. That just read what the party gave him. Your brother, “with Prime Minister”, how are you doing? E Facebook, instagram, YouTube, tectekun, teitter '%in, do you want to try to stop them like some of them in Russia and China? Seeking the blame for the media and attacking them, it says nothing about the media, it says much about the crisis, the rift and the panic that has swept them into parties, governments and parliamentary groups. Even Donald Trump declared great war to the media, swearing and insulted live journalists at news conferences, but...” wrote Mirena in his response to MP Pacolli.
Journalist Berat Buzhala has compared Victory Pacolli to Albanian communist Lenka Chuko.
Look at this Lenka Chucon, with his brother on that page “with the prime minister” for which the entire international community has reacted, the head came to the site to check the media. Ah, t'ish have 1945, location in Tirana”, wrote Buzhala.
On the other hand, journalist Parim Oluri says an MP living in a democratic state is speaking against the media as being official of North Korea and other dictatorial countries.
This man must be told to Mimoza Kusari: Don't speak in parliament. Not Yahya Cox. He's enjoying the size. No dangerous ideas. Draw him as an MP living in a democratic state speaks against the media as if he were official in North Korea, Belarus, Russia or China. Go to dictatorial places and express that talent. This logic has no place in Europe”.
We remember that Kurti Government is one of the most nontransparent governments the media have ever faced. In many ministries, and in many figures holding leading positions in the state of Kosovo, the most prestigious media in the country, have constant complaints that they do not get answers to the issues they seek. /Iliriana Jylani.
