Iran prevents women from advertising

They sent a letter to advertising agencies over the weekend, after publishing a promotional video from the Domino ice cream company. This video included a woman dressed in a winter hat and then bit ice cream at the end of the commercial.
A government agency later called the ad “a crime” and condemned the use of a female actress, saying such ads lead to “compromise of immorality” in society.
This comes as authorities are increasingly hitting women considered to violate a law that makes it mandatory to keep hyjab in public.
The July 5th order by President Ebrahim Reis to implement the hijab law has resulted in a new list of restrictions on how women can be dressed.
Local road patrols, or moral police, have become increasingly active in law enforcement.
