The Ministry of Infrastructure is not using the same standards in building roads in Kosovo. Somewhere he's using higher standards, and some of the roads are being paved to close the contract, writes Periscope. Deputy Minister Infrastructural Hysen Dumrish announced yesterday that any road that needs rehabilitation is now becoming the new layer of asphalt with a net. “Now has a markedly increased quality in save roads. Today we asphalted on Mitrovica Street in northern Kosovo, continuing on all regional and national roads across our territory”, he wrote, until he published several photos of the work.

Such a standard is not happening in works that are taking place in the Pristina - Peja magistrate, in the midst of the villages of Komara and Lapusnik.
This road had remained eroded since two years after the price of asphalt had been markedly increased and contracted companies “Demastion Project” & “via Egnatia” & “NNSH Urban” had left it unpaved. That's because, as Periscope reported, by the time they won the contract, companies offered 5 cents m2 per asphalt.
After a series of Periscop writings, the ministry has forced companies to take to the workshop and asphalt the remaining route. Companies have asphalted only part of it, about 30 percent, and have stopped the work.
Periscope has been on the field and has seen that the road has not been asphalted according to contracting standards. So it had to be placed in the clay asphalt, while it placed limestone, which is for four times cheaper on the market.
According to the supplied photos, the asphalt recently laid down by Deputy Minister Hysen Durmish, the company “Bageri”.
In the contract that has seen the editorial, the company “Bager” was not a subcontracial contractor to the winning contractor, and this opens up for contract violations, as subcontracts were introduced during the application.
Nevertheless, it is taught that the ministry has hit the work at 5 cents m2 of asphalt, as it was on the contract, even though it has not all been asphalted.
The ministry just a few months ago has made the technical admission of this road, even though it had not completed the position of asphalt. This was done in order to issue references to companies so they can compete for tenders, as they have done.
In this regard Periscope made a detailed report a few days ago. /Mentor Buzhala-Periskopi/
