The European Union's Mission for Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX) today has launched 10 vehicles with humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
EULEX chief Lars-Gunnar Wiegemark has said he is proud of staff for solidarity with Ukraine.
“Secila from vehicles is filled with humanitarian aid, which is collected and paid by international and local staff working in EULEX Kosova. I am proud of their staff and initiative to make a practice of solidarity with Ukraine. This donation is just one part of us for our brothers and sisters in Ukraine”, says Wiegemark.
He said Kosovars understand very well the situation Ukraine is going through, as they themselves were faced with aggression, adding that with actions Kosovo has taken against Ukraine, it is proving that it belongs to the EU.
And actually, Kosovars understand very well what it is to become refugees and face aggression. Kosovo's solidarity in the face of Ukraine is evident in many ways, as journalists in Kosovo's stay programme, and Kosovo has harmonised with all of the European Union's common security policy positions are for Kosovo to participate in the future on missions and through these actions Kosovo is testifying where it belongs to”, he has said.
