Doubts of poisoning, results of drinking water tests in Kacanik

According to the report, the Ministry of Health has indicated that after receiving information for increasing the number of cases reported in stomachs and vomiting in the Kacannik municipality, on the ground the team has emerged from the Regional Public Health Centre at Ferizaj (IKShaKP regional file in Ferizaj) and received water samples at locations where there have been reported cases.

According to them, all citizens treated are in an improved state of health, with no reference for hospitalization.

Of the water samples taken, bacteriological tests have shown that these water samples fail to meet drinking water standards.

IKSKP recommendations are as follows:

1. The immediate reporting of suspicious cases in poisoning, according to legislation in effect, the Law on Prevention and Combating Contagion Diseases in Kosovo (LNR: 02/L-109) respectively,

2. Let it continue with the information of the citizens about the boiling of water, which is used for drinking and preparing food or using other resources that have safe water,

3. Install the chlorinator in the main reservoir,

4. To monitor the quality of water, to continue with a sample of laboratory-bacterology analysis and chlorine value (Cl), residol,

5. Taking all measures to inform and conscious citizens of the situation created,

6. As the main recommendation, this system will be serviced and introduced under KRU “Bifurcacion“.

The Health Ministry will carefully convey the situation, and together with the National Public Health Institute and other relevant institutions for further research of the case.

In the meantime, to the level and disposal of all water problems, it is called on the citizens of the Kacanik municipality to have water boils, which are used for drinking and preparing food, or to use other resources that have safe water.
