Democracy. com has also secured Minister Gervalla-Schwarz's decision to former Prime Minister Reka in this position.
“Supporting Article 93 points 8 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, Article 2 of Law No. 03 L-044 points 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 7.7 and 7.8 on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo sent Mr. Blerim Reka, proposing for the General Consul, New York, United States of America.”, says the document signed by Gervalla-Schwarz.
The document says Blerim Reka meets all the criteria set forth under Article 6 of Law No. 03L-44 for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Kosovo, amended and met with Law No. 03L-2007.
Reka is expected to take the place of Isufaj's inspiration, which was dismissed by Minister Gervala in April of this year.
And Minister Gervalla-Schwarz after coming to power had pledged that there would be political consultations, and over 50% of ambassadors would be career diplomats.
The political procedure and career diplomats will not exceed 50-50 at any point, at least not at the maximum, but minimum 50% of our ambassadors will be career diplomats. Political consultants do not have in our government, the political consul notion is not international practice and there will be none. So taking only the ambassadors will be at least 50%, but considering also the consensus, then the percentage will burden much more from career diplomats than from political diplomats”, she said.
