Former Kosovo Fire Chief Latif Zeka has said that the situation is alarming in terms of the risk of fires over the summer and by the few firefighters for their management.
“As far as Kosovo firemen in general, even Pristina, we are really in an extremely uncomfortable situation,” has said Zeka for the special edition of the Klan Kosovo.
This is a big problem too. We need to open our eyes, and Sunday doesn't happen to us as it did in Spain, that it's really going to be very difficult”
There will be extremely large fires we cannot manage that we have very few firefighters in all of Kosovo”.
Except for the small number of firefighters, Zeka also said they need equipment, and that helicopters would be useful in better fire management.
The first step this government has to do is to conscious the population, not cause fires to clear its wealth that that fire cannot be managed”.
Have new firemen accepted, have a helicopter, even a plane why not, so that in such cases it may be easier to manage these situations that could be fatal”.
