Kurti, through a Facebook post, commemorated July 11, 1995, where Serbian forces massacred over 8 thousand Muslim men in Bosnia.
The executive head quoted the book “Axis Rule in Occupied Europe” of Raphael Lemkin, where he mentioned the genocide term.
I doubt much that when Lemkin spoke of genocide, he thought that someone in the 21st century would manage to build a whole plot of discussion based on denial of genocide”, Kurti wrote about Serbia.
According to the prime minister, genocide is by no means to be denied.
In times like these, we need to remember that the first step of repeating genocide is denial. So we should be attentive and loud in our commemoration and our demands for recognition and humility toward one of the most secular genocides committed in post-World War II, Kurti said among other things.
