Analysts said the Russian army is overloaded, with small morals and may soon lack military units on alert, as the war in Ukraine entered its 105th day.
A wiretapped conversation between a Russian soldier and his companion reveals that officers “had no option at all” and that many of them have made unsuccessful efforts to escape.
The Russian soldier is heard saying: “
He adds that he himself had tried to organize a false marriage in an attempt to escape conflict.
The man says: “I already told a friend of mine go and hand in a marriage application to the registry office. I'd tell them about this”.
She told me there is no chance, there is no option”
Everybody here is trying to find a way out of here, but there is no way:
The wiretapped conversation was published by the Ukrainian Security Service, The Telegraph reports.
A growing number of Russian soldiers are looking for reasons to return home, while commanders have stepped up measures for those leaving, a spokesman from Ukrainian SBU said. /Periscopi/
