Rakic tells Lajcak: Only with association improves the position of Serbs in Kosovo

Minister for Communities and Kthim, who is also head of the Serbian List, Goran Rakic, at the meeting he had with EU emissary Miroslav Lajcak, has told that the position of Serbs in Kosovo “is improved by the creation of the Serb majority municipalities only. A statement by the Ministry of Communities and Return states [...]
In a statement by the Ministry of Communities and Kthim, the establishment of Association is the most fundamental issue for Kosovo Serbs, and that Serbs demand that “be realised everything agreed on with its formation”.
All open issues between Serbs and Albanians should be resolved through dialogue in Brussels, but everything must be implemented as the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina predicts, because only thus can we solve problems. All unilateral moves will destabilise the situation on the ground and question other agreements that have agreed to”.
The Minister of the Government of Kosovo spoke as Serbia's representative when he said they were “constructive” in dialogue.
“We have always been a constructive partner in opening the way for a better future, and we expect the same from our neighbours with whom we should build co-existence”, said Minister Rakiq and the mayors of four municipalities in northern Kosovo.
Rakiq also complained to Lajcak about the economic situation of Kosovo Serbs and said that improving it would also affect improving their position in Kosovo. Meanwhile, Rakiqi also mentioned <x0incides” with Serbs who want to return.
The “logs that occur in the returnees' environments must stop immediately, because the return process continues and this is very bad”, the statement said.
