Prime Minister Albi Kurti, responding to the American and European call for the six countries of the Western Balkans to become part of the Open Balkans, said Kosovo is for the Berlin Process, not this initiative.
I reiterated that right and useful for Kosovo is the Berlin Process, without initiatives that want to open the Balkans for the Russian Federation, and not only as Serbia is. We do not need a platform for Serbia's opening to Russia to be broadcast further. Our readiness and interest in regional co-operation is expressed with our support for the Berlin Process. We want to have evens of the parties we find in the Berlin Process”, Kurti said, present Periscopi.
“We do not want to replace the European Union even if it is called the Open Balkans. Serbia must open up to Kosovo. They don't accept our passports or ID cards. We also support the American stance that there cannot be an open Balkans unless there are six states. It's good to see all six countries. When the six states are not, there is no Open Balkans. This week we had good news, the failure of Lavrov's hospitality in Belgrade”, he said.
Kurti confirmed that Chancellor Scholz, tomorrow, comes to Pristina for a kind of revival of the Berlin Process.
The “tonna come for an official visit tomorrow, Chancellor Scholz, with a kind of refreshing and revival of the Berlin Process”, Kurti said./Periscopi/
