Only two Kosovo-Serbia agreements during Lajcak's mandate

When he received his mandate as a delegate to the European Union (BE), for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Slovak diplomat Miroslav Lajcak had declared that the Western Balkans had always been at heart. However, from the moment he took this position, only two agreements have been reached between the parties, the one for license plates, and recently the energy agreement.
And this is being seen as little of Slovak work.
Visar Ymer, director of the Institute “Mousine Koklari”, has said the EU will be able to find a better prepared person for the work Lajcak exercises, however, adds that the responsibility of the failures must be taken over by the parties.
“In the dialogue process we are currently reanimating the agreements and if they measure it like this then there has not been much progress in the dialogue. We are still in the process of dialogue currently reviving past agreements, for example this for energy was achieved in 2013, then the one for the 2016 trages.
So we have a deal to implement and it turns out we don't have a new deal”, Umer said.
He has said, among other things, that recently it has been reported that the European Union states are pro-empting the mandate for Lajcak.
“Lajcak is a product of a compromise within the EU on who should serve in this direction. Of course, better and more capable people can be found. But I'm still saying not to shift our responsibility from ourselves to someone else”, he added.
In a response to Dukagjin, from the EU they have not denied that.
The EUSR mandate is extended or changed with the High Representative's proposal, followed by standard consultations and procedures among member states. Dialogue is a process facilitated by the EU”.
The standard procedure for renewing the EUSR mandate for Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and other regional issues of the Western Balkans does not affect the continuation of the” dialogue, said Peter Stano, the EU spokesman.
Even the United States had appointed the emissary for dialogue, but its position has not been reactivated following Joe Biden's term as president, although it has sent to the Western Balkans, as do Great Britain and Germany.
