KEDS& KESCO continues tradition of blood donation

KEDS and KESCO workers today have donated blood according to annual tradition, helping all patients in need of emergency. Since this bodily fluid cannot be produced in the pharmaceutical industry, its only source is voluntary donation. Various blood groups and the number [...]

Various blood groups and large number of donors in KEDS& KESCO, is helping a little bit of the Kosovo National Centre for Blood Transfusion in Pristina to collect sufficient amounts of blood for a period.

One of the blood donors today was also KED Executive Director, Mr. The Dogan Alpin, who said the company he runs will always be the open door for such volunteer activities.

I am happy that this annual activity, not counting the last two years that the pandemic has had to cancel, is constantly getting attention from our company colleagues. Volunteering in each form is always good for the community, but this for blood donation remains more special because we are helping someone in need, and we are saving lives”, he said.

Meanwhile, Islam Gashi, a fireman in KED, today donated blood for the 45th time. He said he has been a regular blood donor for 23 years.

“Today it's my 45th time to donate blood voluntarily, because I want to save lives and help those who need it. I'm very glad that even the interest of colleagues is enormous since KED's first initiative to carry out this” activity, he said.

And Ganimete Avdiu, official for marketing at the Kosovo National Centre for Blood Transfusion in Pristina, expressed gratitude for KED& workers. KESCO, who joined today's action.

The same way we organized every year at KEDS& CASCO, today we are with blood donations volunteers to help all patients in need. Thanks to all KEDS& employees. KESCO, who always respond positively to such actions. I also invite all willing donors who enjoy full health to join us in all blood donation centers”, she claimed.

KEDS is constantly close to a community of various activities, so our sensitivity with those who need blood will continue in the future.
