EP rapporteur: Serbia chooses between EU and Putin

The European Parliament's rapporteur for dialogue with Moscow and Lithuania's former prime minister, Andrews Kublius, has declared that Serbia must make a choice in its foreign policy. “O go on to continue its relations with Putin's regime, which many call fascist or Serbia to move in leading the Union's policy. “O go on to continue its relations with Putin's regime, which many call fascist or Serbia to move in the direction of the European Union's policy, to support Ukraine, to challenge Putin's regime and see the possibility of another Russia behind him”, Kublius told N1.
We remember that Eurodeputs are asking EU Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell to sanction 13 individuals involved in the persecution of Russian opposition leader Vladimir Kara-Murza and the European Parliament's resolution on Serbia includes an amendment expressing concern for the surveillance of two Russian opposition in Belgrade and providing information about them to Russian security services.
“I will call on the government in Serbia to be quite bold and to look long-term. Putin and the Kremlin regime are not Russia, they do not represent Russia, it may be and will be different, and Serbia must prepare for another Russia and invest in relations with that incoming Russia, a democratic Russia. In the case of Kara-Murza, the European Parliament's report is not good for Serbia, so Serbia must make a choice on which direction it will go to its security and foreign policy”, the European Parliament's rapporteur for dialogue with Moscow stressed. He has commemorated that countries that want to join the European Union, including Serbia, must join European policies.
And now, Russia's fight against Ukraine on issues of relations between countries and Russia have intensified. Candidate countries must make clear decisions, what is their position? Will they support Putin until the end of his regime or back as democratic countries in Europe Ukraine and fight the undemocratic, authoritarian, even fascist regime of Putin, and that is the decision of Serbian officials and the Serbian people”, he said.
