Edi Rama praises Ali Ahmeti: It's one of the Open Balkan pioneers

Albania's Prime Minister, Edi Rama, has praised DUI chairman Ali Ahmeti and has called him the Balkan <x0focuser of Open Macedonia”, adding that when he was accused of sitting with enemies, it could not be imagined that Albanian was an official language in northern Macedonia and that the two Albanian deputy prime minister had. [...]
These comments were made during a press conference at the Open Balkans Summit in Ohrid. Ahmeti himself distributed the video on his official Facebook account thanking Rama.
“Ali Ahmeti is one of the open Balkan pioneers even when we were not here yet, not in the open Balkans. Just seeing what is today the entire institutional system of Northern Macedonia and what they were at the time they told Ali Ahmet you were sitting with enemies. The enemies who were in the same alley and who share the sky and the land of this country. The state, which is built by two state-owned populations -- Macedonians and Albanians”
The “was a time that could not even be imagined that the Albanian language would be official. Let me imagine that the Speaker of the Assembly would be Albanian, that the two deputy prime minister would be Albanian, that I know how many ministers would be Albanian and so on. Why would I say that? I find out that everyone wants to know what the open Balkans are and where we want to go we have many ways to learn and one of the ways is to see Ali Ahmet's journey. Is northern Macedonia better today from the point of view of harmony between Albanians and Macedonians or worse, is North Macedonia better than any other view thanks to this coexistence or worse. This is the Open Balkans. You don't choose who you fall with from God to split heaven and earth. But you choose how to interact with him, Rama said.
