Rama has also said that Kosovo's stance on Russian aggression in Ukraine should be assessed. I requested that Kosovo be invited immediately to the Partnership for Peace mechanism. Countries that do not yet recognise Kosovo must assess its overall position with the EU on Russian aggression over Ukraine despite Ukraine's not yet recognised Kosovo”, Rama wrote on Twitter.
Kosovo has long been seeking involvement in the Partnership for Peace mechanism.
Partnership for Peace is a programme within NATO, through which it is intended to build secure relations, increase stability and reduce the threats to peace between partner countries and NATO, but also between partner countries. Until before this programme has been intended to remove barriers between countries and provide security through dialogue and co-operation, this programme now includes addressing security challenges.
