Beaches in the Lallasi Bay area have been transformed into the daily vacationers of the capital's inhabitants for years.

With infrastructure dedicated mainly to average families and below this level, they have become unaffordable this season.

Besides oil, the prices of umbrellas and other services have risen by at least 60% this season.

Daily expenses for a person who travels from Tirana with his vehicle on one of St. Peter's cheapest beaches in the Lallasi Bay area reach 3,500 Leke from 2100 Leka last year, if minimum expenses are considered (fuel, umbrella, a +e coffee).

In order to travel a little over 50 miles [80 km] from Tirana to Lalez (long - journey), the average car needs about 2,500 Lecha fuel from about 1500 Leke a year ago. Expenses on oil have increased by at least 66% compared to last year.

The price of a cedar has increased by 60%, to 800 Leke in the best case of 500 Leka last year. Prices have also increased, as have bars and restaurants. A coffee accompanied by water costs at least 30% more expensive than last year.

The high costs of popular beaches frequented by the average layer of the capital are turning them into beaches “lux”. Because of high prices, their attendance has dropped sharply.

Beach managers claimed that the number of weekend frequenters has dropped by at least 50%, releasing those that are able to afford costs, from traffic and overcrowding. However, the increase was inevitable because of increased rents, raw materials, and so on.

The sub-average population and the level of pensioners have difficulty coping with daily holiday costs this year.

Tourist season this year has started faster than other years due to favourable time compared to other years. Despite higher prices, foreign citizens who choose Albania for the weekend or holidays are growing.

According to INSTAT data, the number of foreign citizens entering Albania during the first five months was over 1.6 million people with annual growth of over 54%.

The removal of restrictive measures for post-edemia travel by most countries has led to increased travelers. Likely this season will wear out the missing holidays. But for a portion of the low economic population, beaches and hotel facilities are becoming elusive. /Monitor. al
