The news has been revealed by Defence Minister Niko Peleshi this Wednesday, following the end of the Council of Ministers meeting.
Peleshi said that this decision benefits all military personnel, Tekoshi stressed that for 38 categories in the Armed Forces, there will be an additional salary of 20 thousand old dollars.
At today's meeting of the Council of Ministers, we have made a decision that is a decision not made often. In 30 years, I believe there hasn't been a decision like this, related to the treatment of military personnel, that's all the Armed Forces. Today we've made the historic salary increase.
All military, from the first soldier to the highest rank from July 1st, according to the Council of Ministers' decision, will have a 30% higher salary. The minimum wage in the Armed Forces will be over 51 thousand new funds, added additional payment of food treatment and other treatments under difficulties”, Pelesh said. /euronewsalbania
