529 eurodeputs vote for candidate status for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia

Of the 588 eurodeputs that have participated in the vote, 529 have voted in favour of the EP resolution on granting candidate status to Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. Eurodeputs have expressed overwhelming support for the EU to grant candidate status to three Eastern European states. 45 Euro-parliamen have voted against and 14 have abstained.
