Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held an interview for the three-year anniversary of his presidency.
A political trip that was unusual even before 2022, with an actor winning presidential elections because he is primarily known for interpreting the president's role in a popular series, including Russia.
That would be enough to remain in history, but the Russian attack on his country has turned Volodyr Zelensky into a symbol of aspirations for the freedom of his people, as well as one of the most popular characters in the world. “I don't know if I feel like I'm a politician, but I'm sure I feel president”, he said during the interview.
The prestigious Time magazine, which annually compiles the rankings of the world's most popular people, will probably put Ukrainian President on top of them, but Zelensky would like that title to reach all his people.
They're people of the year, so we're so united now. This war is telling the people we have, I'm very proud of them.
Zelensky also spoke of the military currently delivered by the Azovstal industrial complex in lost Marioupoli, ensuring that everyone will return to their homes, and that without an exchange of captives no other agreements with the Kremlin would follow.
Ukrainian President added that the Russian army is undergoing unimaginable losses, as long as “will not recover for several years”, and is convinced of victory. Zelensky added that the “war began bloody, but would end with diplomacy. We didn't start in the war, but it's us who are going to end it”.
