According to police, activities in combating inter-border anti-legal phenomena in the eastern area have been intensified. Thus, during today's day 06,05,2022, a case of smuggling goods and a case of immigrants has been prevented.
In the first case, goods smuggling -- today around 15:30 -- police patrols of the border-Zhager border surveillance station have identified a truck suspected of entering our country's territory illegally. There was water in the truck, milk and other smuggled goods. The truck was run by 29-year-old Kosovo male suspect. The truck has been handed over to Kosovo Customs for customs procedures. In the second case, the immigrant smuggling -- today at 3:55 p.m. -- at the entrance of the Republic of Kosovo from the Republic of Northern Macedonia to Han, Elez -- has come Albania's largest license truck and with a 37-year-old Albanian citizen leader, who came from Turkey. Four Syrian male citizens have been encountered during the search at the truck trailer. The Syrians in Turkey have allegedly cut off part of the trailer cover and have been introduced. The case is being handled by the KP's relevant directorate in co-ordination with the caretaker prosecutor”, the report said.
