In Pristina, protests organised by the Kosovo Private Sector Workers Union have started.
The leaders of union associations in the Pristina municipality are participating in this protest.
At first, participants held a minute of silence for workers who died accidentally in their jobs.
I want to comfort all the families of the workers who had fatal accidents in their jobs to secure mouth bites. And now I invite all participants for a minute of silence”, said one of the organisers.
“With these salaries does not live”, a union activist, who spoke of mistreating employees from the state and private companies, said later.
“Company owners are brought to us as if we were existent machines and at a moment when we lose our power, they throw us into the street because this state allows”, he said.
Private Sector Union Federation Chairman Yusuf Azemi spoke after him. He said that “indicata fought for workers”. Azem stressed that the government did nothing for workers.
Dear Mr. The prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, I have a question for you. Why on weekend day, why did you make us go out and protest?
Azem also mentioned the departure of workers abroad, urging the Government to worry about this fact.
He also highlighted the small number of job inspectors as critical of the executive.
