The prosecution seeks the punishment of Murat Meha and his wife for lying statements of wealth

After managing the evidence, prosecutor Mustafa, in his final address among others, has said the reasoning of indictees Miradije and Murat Meha that they have not been aware of whether the property was registered or not, does not stand since the same could seek clarification during the 30-day period of property declaration.

“The defendants' investigation that there has been no clear guide and that it has not been aware that the property has not been registered because the law has existed for property statements and that they have been able to seek clarification during the period 30 days of any uncertainty in the AKK”, prosecutor Mustafa has stated.

Prosecutor Mustafa also stated that not informing that property was registered or not rules out the criminal responsibility of the accused.

The same one has proposed to the court that the defendants plead guilty and punish them according to the law as well as to measure the sentence to be taken on the basis of all extenuating and demanding circumstances.

On the other hand, the defender of accused Miradije Meha, lawyer Dobruna, has then written down his final word and then released the same by demanding the release of his defendant from the prosecution and saying there is not enough evidence to support the suspicion that the accused Meha committed the criminal work he was charged with.

While accused Meha, in her final address, has said it has been difficult to seek clarification from the AKK since it has been unclear in the institution who can declare who's wealth.

According to the indictment filed in May 2018 by the Founding Prosecutor in Pristina, Miradije and Murat Meha are being charged with exact non-reporting of property.

The prosecution claims that between 1 and 31 March 2013 and 2014, defendant Miradije Meha in the quality of the top public official, director of the Department of Administration and Support (DAP) at the Central Election Commission (KQZ), even though she was obliged to make the declaration of property, the same has not accurately presented the required data on forms related to the 450 m2 m2th surface in the Cadastra Llapellale Zone, which is on its behalf of both the Tirana and the residence purchased in 2012 by 90m, with the name of her husband in the 1990m m.
