Murati: Kurti has no courage to sign agreement with Serbia, only one element speeds up dialogue

He does not believe Prime Minister Albin Kurti will sign any agreements with neighbouring state, due to lack of courage
“As far as dialogue is concerned I see no total seriousness of all actsmen. Kosovo should be more interested in being active in dialogue. We don't have status-quo. That's what the assistant secretary of state said on his last visit when she said that the status quo is in condition of Russia. Our government is stuck in this status quo and he's enjoying”, Murati said in an interview for Online Economy.
Mr. Kurti has also come to power, criticising the entire dialogue process. And as long as I read his policy I don't think he's going to sign something and that's a lack of courage and policy making based on populism. We need bold politicians who know what they want and who get us out of the status situation in which we are”.
However, Murati stressed, he sees no interest in either Serbia and the EU moving ahead with reaching a final agreement.
I don't see interest in Serbia either, because she is interested in technical talks like this for plates which are not essential to Kosovo's future. I don't see any dynamics in the EU either. This whole process has a new element that can speed up and it's the American factor that's sending out clear signals that they don't want status-quo and that can change the” dynamic.
Murati also added that from Prime Minister Albin Kurti's visit to the US, there are no results because there are no high-level meetings.
“We need to see the end of Kurt's visit to the US. There are no high-level meetings, and at least the level the prime minister should be expected is of the secretary of state. And everything else is meaningless. It is not achieved if it meets Escobar in Washington because Escobar is working Kosovo”.
I think if this level of meetings remains is the message of the American administration that Kosovo has in relation to dialogue. And it relates to other projects that Kosovo somewhat rigidly did not become part of the gas. At the president's level, meetings that Kosovo can make are rare. It usually happens at ceremonial meetings. The level of meetings that should be expected would at least be Secretary of State Blinken”, Murati said.
