“Responding to Ukraine's request for assistance in the crisis situation caused by Russia's aggression against that country, Montenegro sent a military and humanitarian donation to friendly Ukraine”, the Montenegrin Defence Ministry said in a statement.
It was stressed that Montenegro, in co-ordination with other European partners and NATO allies, will continue to support Ukraine in its efforts to successfully respond to all challenges facing it due to Russian military aggression.
Montenegro has previously joined all sanctions imposed by the EU on Russia, and after an assessment of Montenegrin security services, it has expelled a total of 5 Russian diplomats who were engaged in the Russian Embassy in Podgorica.
Montenegro's Ambassador to Ukraine Dragica Ponorac two days ago has returned to Kiev, where ambassadors of several other countries have again arrived last week.
