Yesterday it was reported that several primary school students “Nexmi Mustafa” in the village of Bessi in Pristina have been poisoned in the town of Mitrovica, where they had gone on the trip.
Linked to this, the Food and Veterinary Agency has announced that it has initiated research, which says students have served in a restaurant, which is in a temporary closure.
The AUV said they've been inspecting restaurant space and food services where six samples have been taken.
“Restorant is shown in detail in all areas of work and food service. Along with the IKSHPK non-responsive official, six samples of food products have been taken, and division from the cooking environment and kitchen tools”, the announcement says.
They have stressed that this restaurant will be closed until laboratory results are published.
According to medical reports, patients immediately after receiving treatment have begun to improve.
“The AUV is addressing the case seriously and in co-ordination with other authorities, such as Mitrovica Hospital, Kosovo Police and the Kosovo National Public Health Institute”, it is further said.
