Just days after returning to Kosovo from the United States, he has again announced that he will participate in the scientific conference there tomorrow as visiting professor of scientific research, organised at New York Medical College. So says a management communique from the Ministry of Health.
He has been invited to hold the key lecture of this scientific meeting, titled: “The Emission of Health Inequalities and the transformation of Kosovo's health through clinical Centers of ecstasy, from the perspective of the trauma route and the head of surgery, now Kosovo Health Minister”.
“During this presentation, Minister Latifi will also discuss topics such as “The challenges of rebuilding a country's health system in transition”, “Role of clinical Excellence centres in reducing inequality in health care”. “The challenges of switching from Chief Chief of Staff and Director of the Department of Surgery to Minister of Health” and “The implications of the transformation of the Department of Surgery and Health Care as the nucleus of transformation”, the communiqué says.
The communiqué says that in 2020, Minister Latif received the inaugural award for scientific research at New York Medical College. At this scientific conference, well - known surgeons from around the world will participate, who with their presentations will reveal their scientific knowledge and experience in the world health system, respectively, in the floor of surgery.
Minister Latifi will talk with the leadership of Touro University for co-operation in various scientific and medical fields and others. While in the US, Minister Latifi will also visit Walter Reed Military Hospital, the American Army Simulation Centre in Washington, as well as the University of Arizona, where he will meet with the leaders of these institutions, in search of co-operation in implementing emergency centres, ahead of the Kosovo health transformation programme.
He will also meet with many Albanian community doctors and leaders in the US to discuss the best methods of returning the Albanian scientific brain to Kosovo. Dr. Rifat Latifi, general surgeon and trauma, in addition to being minister of Health of the Republic of Kosovo, is also head of the Kosovo College of Surgery and author of 20 scientific books in various areas of surgery and Telemedicine. /Periscopi/
