British Prime Minister reiterated his call for more weapons for Ukraine, as it went against the idea that, with the war it entered in its fourth month, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should focus on reaching a peace agreement with Russia that I can see Ukraine losing territory.
“How can you deal with a crocodile when he ate your left leg up to half?”, Johnson said in an interview for Bloomberg on Friday, when asked about the possibility of negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. “He has no trust at all”
The MLRS “system would enable Ukrainians to defend themselves against the brutal Russian artillery, and this is where the world must go”, Johnson said, adding that the Russian “forces are continuing the attacks on Donbas' terrain, making slow progress, but, I'm afraid, notable”.
Ukrainian officials have voiced concern over the past days as the war continues, they will be forced to negotiate a ceasefire with Russia, including granting territory to the east. Zelensky is among those who insist Ukraine will not donate territory in exchange for the end of the war. / P ERISCOPI/
