Kosovo Assembly MP Duda Balje has also spoken of her past childhood in Novi Sad, Vojvodina, describing her as a happy childhood along with two parents who had worked hard to raise and educate her.
But at one point, Balje recalled how shortly before she enrolled in high school, her father had bilaterally decided that the family would return to their country of origin, Prizren.
Duda said that at the time she had not understood why her father had made that decision, but later she had learned that the reason was to keep her safe.
There was actually a Serbian neighbor who told my father: Yasmin, you have a beautiful daughter and sometimes she said that. And my father thought it wasn't good for me to grow up there and that's why we came to Kosovo”, the Bosnian MP in Rtv Dukagjin said.
