European Union for Foreign Policy and Security High Representative Josep Borrell will host an informal dinner with the six leaders of the Western Balkans on Wednesday, May 11th.
The tradition of holding such an informal dinner was initiated by Borrell's predecessor, Federica Moghrini, who met Balkan leaders each year at informal dinner, to discuss the future of the region and the main challenges facing the region.
This year, according to the announcement, the security issue in Europe will be at the top of the agenda in light of Ukraine's unprotested Russian occupation.
Attendance at the dinner in Brussels has confirmed: Kosovo Foreign and Diaspore Minister Donica Grovalla, Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic, Northern Macedonia Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski, and the chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zoran Tegeltija.
Kosovo is represented at this informal dinner with top diplomat Grovalla, as Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti are visiting the United States.
Prior to the informal dinner, all participants will hold short bilateral talks with European bloc diplomacy chief Josep Borrell.
