Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelensky has accused Russian soldiers of deliberately undermining areas north of Ukraine, while they are retreating, writes Sky News, broadcast Periscopi.
Ukraine says its troops have regained control of more than 30 towns and villages in the Kiev region since Russia announced this week that it will reduce its operations around the capital to focus on eastern battles.
Zelensky said in a video address Saturday, not to mention evidence:
North of our country, invaders are leaving. It's slow but visible. In some places they're being thrown out of combat. Somewhere else they're abandoning their positions. They're undermining all this territory. The houses are mined, the equipment is mined, even the bodies of the dead, he said.
The Russian defence ministry did not respond to a request for comment on these charges. / P ERISCOPI/
