Yusuf Azem: Legally raising minimum wage, that is 400 euros

The Kosovo government has adopted the bill proposed by the Finance Ministry, which concerns meeting and changing laws that pave the way for the growth of the minimum wage to 250 euros net or 264 euros gross, where it will then be sent to the Assembly to vote. This from the Private Sector Union. [...]
This from the Private Sector Union is called illegal.
That is because the minimum wage proposal should be made by the Social Economic Council, but the government is not doing so.
So says the president of this union, Yusuf Azemi.
“In our stances we have no change, the minimum wage must be 400 euros, I repeat that the minimum wage does not pass through the Government of Kosovo, the minimum wage is the report through employers and employers, and this figure that we are talking about is going a lot and we will not deal with it, because even until the coming of the Kosovo Parliament proposal to have 250 euros' salary, it is a non-legal procedure since the Social Economic Council is proposing for the minimum wage, this decision has not been made at the Social 911 Council, he says.
Despite that, Azemi says it does not bother them, as he says, owners are agreeing to freeze salaries of 400 euros.
The company's owners don't mind 400 euros' salary, since we're saying we're missing the workforce, and we're where we are”, he told Front Online.
This bill will also regulate the minimum wage tax rate for those who receive around 250 euros per month.
