The next meeting under the “Open Balkans initiative” will be held in June in Ohrid. Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq disclosed the news.
Through an Istagram post, Vuciq announced he has held a virtual meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Macedonian Dimitar Kovacevski.
From photos published by Vuciq, ministers have also attended the meeting. The Serbian president says he has agreed to hold a culinarie fair, stressing that the agreement on co-operation in the field of culture and tourism will be signed in Ohrid.
A day earlier, the Rapporteur for Albania at the European Parliament, Isabel Santos, gave a “old” to the initiative strongly promoted by Prime Minister Edi Rama, the Open Balkans.
She said that the Open Balkans is an initiative outside Albania's EU membership process. Santos stressed that the best way for the Balkans is through European partners and the membership process.
