Fidesz - KDNP expected to preserve majority, says Mediaan's latest survey
According to the media company's latest survey, commissioned by commercial broadcaster RTL, Fidesz - KDNP is expected to get 49% of the vote, while United for Hungary is expected to receive 41%.
The satirical party, the Hungarian Dog Party with two tails (MKKP) is expected to get 4.5%, and the right-wing nationalist party “Our home” (Mi Hazank) is also projected to receive 4.5%, the survey shows. In Hungary, the threshold for entry into the national assembly is 5%, which means both parties may have a realistic chance to secure seats in parliament.
The media has also given a prediction to split parliamentary mandates. According to survey, Fidesz - KDNP is expected to win 121 seats, United for Hungary will take 77 seats, and a national minority lawyer will win 1 seat.
