Turkey can continue to host the Ukraine-Russia peace talks, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has said.
Cavusoglu made the offer to his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba, after NATO members, who have met for two days in Brussels, agreed today to strengthen support for Ukraine amid its ongoing war with Russia, writes Skynews.
Speaking from Brussels, Cavusoglu also said there were still about 30 Turkish citizens, including their escorts, trapped in the southern Ukrainian port city of Marioupol.
He also confirmed that his American counterpart, Antony Blinken, had invited him to Washington for talks on May 18th, after NATO allies launched a platform to improve and strengthen their tense ties this week.
