Targa deal with Serbia, setting up glues again as opportunities

Placing tape on Kosovo's car plates and Serbia is again considered the possibility of the transition agreement between the two countries. A day before the end of the interim agreement, the main element for the success of the new deal is estimated to be reciprocity on both sides. Dialogue process recognition tells Kosovo that the side [...]
A recognition of the dialogue process tells Kosova Prees that the Kosovar side at today's meeting of the working groups and tomorrow of the chief negotiators should do their best to reach a new agreement on license plates, but to insist also on leaving illegal license plates on Kosovo territory, as the only ones to be accepted are RKS.
Political analyst Gazmir Racy tells Kosovo that the agreement that does not have within reciprocity should not be accepted by Kosovo.
That agreement that does not have reciprocity, I consider, should not be accepted by the Kosovo side. Stirs have been temporary solutions until the moment Serbia recognises Kosovo, as we do not know each other. If reciprocity is achieved, I consider the agreement to be a success, unless reciprocity predicts stability... The main element of the provisional agreement is the issue of illegal license plates, they have to be removed from circulation and of course we have the only RKS license plates, should either be accepted as such, but even as transit mode may be continuing stickers on two mutual sides”, he says.
The most insistent on reaching an agreement is the connoisseur of political circumstances, sociologist Artan Mujahiri.
Kosovo must do its best to reach this agreement because the first will be useful to Kosovo citizens, create facilities and help the Government of Kosovo prove itself as a constructive party in Brussels. Currently, there is an image that the Government of Kosovo is blocking this agreement, while if this agreement is reached, it would be an extremely positive step in its report to Brussels”, he declares for Kosovas.
The theme for the plates, according to Muhhajarir, shows the complexity of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. According to him, this technical topic shows how difficult the final agreement will be if there is no will and commitment of the parties.
The issue of license plates is a typical example for all the complexity of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. A real topic that should have been technical has become a major blockade that takes so many months of discussions and dialogues from the Kosovo, Serbian and EU to reach an agreement. That means how difficult the final agreement will be if there is no will and commitment of the parties”, he adds.
Working groups between Kosovo and Serbia will meet in Brussels today in the new round of talks, while tomorrow the deputy prime minister's meeting -- at once chief negotiator for dialogue Besnik Bislimi with the director of the so-called Office for Kosovo in Serbia Government, Petar Petkov.
The interim agreement reached in October 2021 between Kosovo and Serbia expires on April 21st.
