The second round of presidential elections takes place in France today.

The French will elect their head of state for the next five years.

The current head of the French state, Emmanuel Macron, and the far-right leader Marie Le Pen.

Currently Macron leads in the first round of elections.

His opponents consider him arrogant, and the president of the wealthy, meanwhile, the far-right leader is accused of having close ties with Russia's President Vladimir Putin.
