The Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency (AUV) has removed certain products “Kinder” from the market, following reports in other countries of the world that salmonella bacteria have been found in them.
In a media communiqué it is known that AUV has launched research into the possibility of selling this product to Kosovo after the market withdrawal announcements of several series of Ferrero production products resulted in positive salmonella in other countries.
We've started researching the possibilities of selling this product to our country. Although so far none of the Kinder products traded in Kosovo have any analysis that has resulted in positive salmonella. While we have the mandate to protect consumers, which is also our priority, in co-ordination and with the manufacturer's announcement, as a precautionary measure, the withdrawal of Kinder products by type and series” is said in communique.
According to AUV, the producer in co-ordination with the distributor has decided to voluntarily withdraw these specified products.
The AUV's Sanitary Inspector is making the supervision of the withdrawal of products and at the same time taking samples for laboratory tests.
The AUV recommends consumers who bought any of the relevant products, such as the following, not consume them, but return them to the distributor.
