Thus has the mayor of this city, Ihor Terehkov, announced in a televised talk that some 1 million people are in the northeast city, while about 30 percent of the population, mostly women, children, and older ones, have been evacuated, writes Sky News.
These reports come after Ukraine's General Staff said Russian forces are continuing their offensive to the east of the country in order to establish full control over the Luhansk and Lovesk regions.
