Svechla in his response has said there are no alternative roads in the north but there are illegal routes.
The whole thing that the police did is they stopped the use of those streets for illegal activities. I have been reported that there are complaints by residents of that area, which in co-operation with KFOR and relevant ministries we are addressing. For example, there are cases that a road runs into Serbia's territory and is exploited by locations in Kosovo's territory. We will make new ways that do not make it necessary to cross Serbia's territory. It is legal duty to serve citizens indiscriminately. I've always been forced to serve within the law”, Svechla said.
Svecla has declared that they are ready to open even a new border crossing point in the north.
“As far as the addition or transition of citizens in that area is concerned, we have two border crossings -- Brnjak and Jarinje -- and we have initiative to open the third point in Izvor, but there is no readiness from Serbia to realise this”, the minister of order has declared.
