Clinton said Albright was always in a hurry to do good.
I had the privilege of getting to know Madeleine in many areas of life, but she was always in a hurry to do good works”, Clinton said.
She also recalled the moment they first met, and where, she says, they planted seeds of friendship.
We met first in the 1980s at a humanitarian event for the children's child protection fund in Washington and the seeds of our friendship were planted there.
“She taught her students that silence can be golden but won no argument, you must stop man when speaking”, she said
She even admitted that she was the initiator for Albright to be the first secretary of State.
It's been said that I had encouraged my husband to appoint him as the first secretary of State, that's true and I had the greatest satisfaction when he agreed. At the time the ambassadors hesitated the words, she never hesitated to speak”, she added.
Clinton said her friend was unstoppable, funny, very styled and smiling.
If Madeleine were with us today, she would remind us that this is the time of acting”, she continued
God bless Madeleine, we'll never forget”, Clinton is over.
