Clear documents: When Albin Kurti asked people to cover themselves with kebe, KEK sold power to GEN 105 euros for megawatts

GEN is the company that was involved in the scandal of Kosovo's ambassador to Slovenia, Martin Berishaj, close to the prime minister, Albin Kurti, and his party.

Based on documents provided by Infocus newspaper for 7 months, KEK did shopping with GEN company, for less than 11.8m euros with Kosovo.

The price at which KEK had sold electricity to the GEN company has ranged from 60 euros -- the cheaper price for megaves hours of electricity and up to 190 euros the highest price for megawatts. At this 190-euro price, electricity has been sold in October.

And a strange fact from documents provided by this newspaper is the price of selling electricity in December, when Kosovo had the largest energy crisis ever.

At this time KEK had sold the power company with only 105 euros per megawatt.

According to the energy trade reports that Infocus has provided for the period 1 June through 31 December 2021, GEN has been one of the leading electricity buyers and the one at super-free prices.

KEK's Bazaar with GEN Company totals 11.8m euros for only 7 months of 2021.

Of the total export for this year was 58m euros, this company alone has received about 12m euros, or 20 %s from the total sale.

In February of this year, Prime Minister Albin Kurti had declared that the price of an hour megawatt was also set at 515 euros.

“Now, however, the import of electricity has been markedly reduced, once over 6 gigave hours a day now below 3 gigaves hours a day. Prices are not even the last of December when an hour megawatt price was posted at 515 euros on the international stock exchange. So now a few situations have eased, but I beg all citizens of the republic to save the more they save their electricity”, Kurti said.
