One of them is Lumniye Mujqolli, who for Kosovo Press shows how Serb forces committed the terrible massacre in this village, saying this day is very difficult for him and the entire Musqolli family.
She says that besides her, there are five other survivors, one of them is her four-year-old Nita daughter.
“Today is our anniversary day, this day reminds me of what happened in our family 23 years ago. I'm Lumniye the surviving museum of the massacre where 53 civilians were killed and burned, and from there we have saved six witnesses we are, me and the girl Nitta, then there was 4-year-old”, said Muqolli.
She says the Serbian Army has been carrying out the killings at all costs of eliminating any Albanian traces in Poklek.
This day my day and our whole family burn our souls, because it reminds us of the very difficult moments I've experienced and seen there, how many people have drowned, wounded that I haven't been able to help, burned twice, burned dead bodies, wanted to remove traces altogether so that there were people in the place where we were in”, she said.
Muqolli said she's happy for her survival where she hasn't lost her blood where she can testify, but she said that I regret that she couldn't help the wounded because at that time she was wounded.
I thank God very much for keeping my mind at the time, because it's been a very difficult moment for me to witness today and not to lose their blood. I know about our family and I tell our family today how many dead, but I feel sorry for the wounded that I haven't been able to help you, because I was injured in my hand, and my daughter was very small.”, she said.
Otherwise, today, 23 years have been filled by the massacre in the village of Poklek the Old and Cikotova municipality of Drenas, where the Serbian Army has massacred and killed them, then burned the bodies of 77 unarmed civilians, ranging from six months old to 75-year-olds.
There they had children, young men and old men who were killed, slaughtered, and some burned. Even after two decades, none of the commanding officers and executions were punished by justice.
